The Centenary Clock

A timeless tribute to Maestro Giacomo Puccini.

A commemorative pocket watch dedicated to Giacomo Puccini.
When art meets eternity, creations are born that do not merely measure time, but transform it into emotion, memory and beauty.

This high-manufacture timepiece celebrates the genius of the Master with a harmonious fusion of elegance, culture, and musical tradition.
Available in two versions, one in steel and one gold-plated – the latter in a limited edition of 999 numbered pieces – each watch contains a unique soul, symbol of musical passion and Italian elegance.

A distinctive feature of the collection is the integrated carillon, which plays the notes of “Nessun dorma” from the opera Turandot, chosen to pay tribute to the centenary of Puccini’s last creation, which will be celebrated worldwide in 2026.

The decision to include a carillon is not only a poetic tribute, but also has its roots in a real episode in the Maestro’s life. While composing Turandot, Puccini had the opportunity to listen to an oriental carillon—a small musical treasure chest belonging to Baron Edoardo Fassini-Camossi—which played authentic Chinese melodies.
Those new sounds, suspended between enchantment and exoticism, sparked a decisive creative enthusiasm in him, profoundly influencing the musical atmosphere of the opera. For this reason, the clock and its carillon were conceived as a refined reference to that spark of inspiration: a sonic tribute that links the timepiece to the very birth of Turandot, transforming each note into a living memory of Puccini’s genius.

In this perfect synergy between music and mechanical movement, time becomes melody, and every gesture—from winding the watch by hand to simply opening the cover—becomes a ritual connecting us to history, art, and the timeless emotion of Puccini.

The heart that marks time

Each creation is designed to celebrate the greatness of Giacomo Puccini, combining art, music, and mechanical precision in an object of timeless value.

The two versions available—one gold-plated and one in steel—share the same philosophy: to offer a unique experience that goes beyond the simple function of measuring time.

A distinctive feature of this collection is the clock integrated into a carillon, symbolizing the union between musical art and watchmaking art.

The chosen melody is the celebrated “Nessun dorma” from Turandot, the Maestro Puccini’s last and unfinished opera. The choice is not accidental: Turandot represents the crowning achievement of Puccini’s creative genius, and in 2026 the world will celebrate its centenary with events and performances worldwide.

This watch was therefore created as a tribute to the Maestro’s centenary (2024) and the anniversary of Turandot (2026), a homage to the universal power of music and its ability to move us even a century later. A commemorative watch would not be complete without a beating heart worthy of its inspiration.

The gold-plated timepiece houses a hand-wound mechanical movement, while the steel version features a quartz movement. Both are Swiss Made and crafted with the utmost precision and reliability. Every component, from the gear wheels to the balance wheel, works in perfect harmony, like the instruments in a symphonic orchestra. The dial features the opening lines of the opera Turandot, a detail that adds depth and meaning to the design.

Winding a mechanical watch every day is not just a functional gesture, but a ritual: a way to connect with tradition, reminding us that even Puccini’s music is renewed every time it is performed and listened to.

The figure of Maestro Puccini:
an eternal inspiration

Giacomo Puccini (1858–1924) is universally recognized as one of the greatest opera composers. His works have been able to convey the fragility and grandeur of life with intensity and poetry, conquering stages all over the world.
The decision to dedicate a watch to Puccini is not accidental. Time plays a fundamental role in his music: it marks the pauses, creates anticipation, and amplifies emotions. Every heartbeat of his characters becomes rhythm, every silence becomes an integral part of the melody. A watch, therefore, is not only a symbol but a perfect metaphor for his art: a precision mechanism that, like a musical score, harmonizes movement and emotion.

Gold-plated version

A masterpiece of splendor and warmth. The 18-karat gold-plated case reflects a brilliance that evokes the preciousness of Puccini's music. Every detail, from the crown to the chain hook, is crafted with artisan care.

Steel version

Understated, timeless elegance. Steel gives the watch a noble, discreet character. As with the gold-plated version, the dial features delicate ornamental engravings inspired by musical motifs, such as staves and treble clefs, or a stylized profile of the Maestro.
